Ms. Johnette is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with adolescents in residential treatment and in community mental health with individuals experiencing chronic mental illness. She takes an integrative approach to therapy that focuses on the needs and goals of the individual using evidence-based practices.

A variety of theories and techniques are used to help children and families understand their challenges and learn skills to manage and change unhealthy thoughts and behaviors. Her approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and interpersonal therapy to support individual and family wellness.

Prior to counseling, she worked in the school setting, assisting children and families with diversity issues. In her spare time, Ms. Johnette enjoys spending time with family, cooking, taking walks in nature and traveling.
